The vertical screw conveyor uses a rotating screw to push materials along a fixed shell
slot for conveying work. The vertical screw conveyor is commonly known as a conveyor
and is a widely used continuous conveying device in metallurgy, building materials,
chemical industry, grain and mechanical processing departments. Compared with other
conveying equipment, the vertical conveyor has the advantages of small overall
cross-sectional size, good sealing performance, stable and reliable operation, multiple
points of loading and unloading in the middle, and operation and maintenance.
A vertical screw conveyor mainly consists of the following core components:
1. Screw body: This is the core component of the equipment, consisting of a spiral shaft
and spiral blades fixed along the shaft.
2. Bearings: Support the spiral shaft and allow it to rotate.
3. Driving device: power to rotate the spiral shaft.
4. Support frame: Fixes the entire conveyor and provides stability.
When the conveyor is started, the driving device drives the spiral to rotate, and the spiral
blades rotate accordingly. Due to the spiral structure of the blades, the material is held
between the blades and moves upward or downward as blades rotate. During the movement,
the material is continuously confined by the spiral blades and the machine wall, staying within
the conveying channel of the screw conveyor, thus the conveying process. The spiral structure
of the blades can form a closed conveying channel, preventing the overflow and waste of the
material, and improving the efficiency and accuracy the conveying process.
