Working principle

When the horizontal helical ribbon mixer is in operation, the motor drives the helical ribbons arranged in opposite directions on the inner and outer layers to rotate at high speed. The outer helical ribbon pushes the materials to flow along the axial direction, while the inner helical ribbon pushes the materials in the opposite direction, forming a circulation and convection, which promotes the thorough exchange and mixing of a large amount of materials. Meanwhile, the speed difference between the screw ribbon and the material generates shear force, breaking the material clumps and making the particle dispersion more uniform. In the complex flow field formed by the rotation of the helical ribbon, the material particles constantly change positions under the combined action of convection and shearing, diffusing from the high-concentration area to the low-concentration area, and ultimately achieving the uniform distribution of materials throughout the entire mixed space.
